This commissioning marks the third phase of the project, taking the total operational capacity to 315 MW. The update follows the company’s earlier disclosure dated September 29, 2025, regarding the commissioning of the preceding phase.
The 600 MW solar power project at Khavda is being developed in a phased manner. Each phase is commissioned upon readiness and integrated into the company’s renewable power portfolio. The current phase adds to the cumulative installed capacity of Gujarat Industries Power Company’s solar operations in the state.
The Khavda project forms part of India’s larger renewable energy development initiative within the Great Rann of Kutch, one of the country’s most significant renewable energy zones. The park is designed to accommodate multiple solar and wind power projects aggregating to 2,375 MW.
GIPCL has been progressively expanding its renewable energy footprint through solar and wind installations across Gujarat. The phased execution model allows the company to integrate generation capacity in alignment with project development milestones and regulatory requirements.
