Ramco Systems Signs MOU with ePlane for eVTOL Fleet Management
Filing Summary
Ramco Systems Limited signed an MOU with The ePlane Company to provide Ramco Aviation Software for the lifecycle management of the ePlane e200X eVTOL fleet. The agreement covers modules for engineering, maintenance, supply chain, manufacturing, and compliance management. The implementation will align with ePlane’s progress toward manufacturing and commercial rollout. The ePlane Company, incubated at IIT Madras, is developing India’s first compact electric air taxi. Ramco Systems’ aviation software currently supports over 4,000 aircraft operated by 90+ aviation organizations worldwide.
Ramco Systems Limited announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The ePlane Company (Ubifly Technologies Private Limited) to implement Ramco Aviation Software for managing the lifecycle of the company’s flagship electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, the ePlane e200X.
The MOU establishes a collaboration framework under which ePlane will adopt Ramco Aviation Software to oversee the engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, compliance, and operational processes of its eVTOL fleet, including air taxi, air ambulance, and air cargo applications. The implementation will be carried out in phases, aligned with the e200X’s progress toward manufacturing readiness and commercial deployment.
Through this partnership, ePlane will gain access to a full suite of Ramco’s aviation software modules, covering Engineering & CAMO, Maintenance, Supply Chain, MRO & Part Sales, Flight Operations, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing, HR, and Finance. The system will provide a unified digital foundation for ePlane’s end-to-end aircraft lifecycle operations.
The ePlane e200X is designed as a compact, electric air taxi developed to address urban air mobility requirements. The company has received Design Organisation Approval (DoA) from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and is currently progressing through type certification initiated in December 2024.
The MOU was signed at The ePlane Company’s facility at IIT Madras, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations. The agreement enables Ramco Systems to provide advanced digital solutions for ePlane’s operational needs as the aircraft moves closer to commercialization.
