SJVN’s Rampur Hydro Power Station Achieves Record Generation

SJVN Limited’s 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station has surpassed its highest-ever power generation record, achieving over 2098 million units as of March 26, 2026. This surpasses the previous record set during the fiscal year 2019-20. The power station is located in Himachal Pradesh and is a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

The announcement was made by Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN. Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), was present at the power station during this achievement. He interacted with the team and acknowledged their dedication and commitment to reaching this milestone. The achievement was attributed to the consistent hard work and dedication of the project employees.

Sh. Vikas Marwah, Head of Project at Rampur HPS, credited the visionary leadership and support of the SJVN management, as well as the teamwork and relentless efforts of all employees, for this accomplishment. The power station had already achieved its design energy target of 1878 million units for FY 2025-26 by December 8, 2025, marking the fastest achievement since its commissioning.

Other senior officials, including Sh. Rajeev Kapoor, Head of Project at NJHPS, and Sh. Vivek Sharma, Head of Project at LHEP-1, were also present during the announcement. The Rampur Hydro Power Station has consistently demonstrated strong performance in power generation since its commissioning, setting multiple benchmarks.
