Thermax Subsidiary Secures Rs. 580 Crore Boiler Order in Nigeria

Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES), a wholly owned subsidiary of Thermax Ltd, has concluded an order with Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise. The order involves the supply of utility boilers and associated systems for a refinery and petrochemical complex in Nigeria. This contract is valued at Rs. 580 crore and is expected to be executed over a period of 22 months.

The financial terms of the contract specify a total consideration of Rs. 580 crore. The order does not involve any related party transactions, and there is no interest from the promoter or promoter group in the entity awarding the contract. The transaction is classified as an international order, reflecting Thermax’s engagement in global markets.

The scope of the order includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, and testing of four 400 TPH oil and gas-fired bi-drum boilers. Additionally, TBWES will supply plug-and-play modules and supervise the construction and commissioning of these systems. The project management, procurement, and supply of allied auxiliaries are also part of the deliverables under this contract.

This order from Dangote Industries is part of a longstanding relationship between the two companies. Thermax has previously executed projects for Dangote, including a significant contract in 2017 for boilers, HRSGs, and flue gas steam generators.
