Sterling and Wilson Secures INR 1,313 Crore South African Project

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has been awarded a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 240 MW AC Solar PV project in South Africa. The contract is valued at approximately INR 1,313 crore. This project represents SWREL’s second South African project secured this fiscal year.

The company has received a Letter of Award (LOA) for this project, which is part of its ongoing efforts to expand its operations in the South African renewable energy market. With this new contract, SWREL is currently executing four Solar PV projects with four different developers in South Africa.

SWREL’s total EPC order inflows for the current fiscal year have exceeded INR 5,088 crore. The company has been actively increasing its presence in the South African market, which is experiencing growth due to factors such as corporate demand for energy security and declining costs.

In addition to its activities in South Africa, SWREL operates in various regions, including India, South-east Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Australia, and the Americas. The company provides EPC services for utility-scale solar, floating solar, and hybrid & energy storage solutions.
