Shakti Pumps Secures Rs. 444 Crore Solar Pump Order in Maharashtra

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced the receipt of a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited. This order involves the supply of 16,025 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumps. The contract is valued at approximately Rs. 444 Crores, inclusive of GST.

The pumps, with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP, are to be delivered under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM Kusum B Scheme. The scope of the contract includes the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar water pumping systems. The completion timeline is set at 60 days from the issuance of the work order or Notice to Proceed.

The order is domestic, with no involvement of international entities. The total amount of the work order is Rs. 407.51 Crores, with the inclusion of GST bringing the total to Rs. 443.78 Crores. There is no interest from the promoter or promoter group in the entity awarding the contract, and the transaction does not fall within related party transactions.
