The unit is Unit #1 of the Patratu Super Thermal Power Plant (STPP), Phase-I. This unit has a generation capacity of 800 MW. The Patratu STPP Phase-I project involves the development of three units, each with a capacity of 800 MW.
With the commencement of commercial operations for this unit, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group will become 84,849 MW. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited is a joint venture between NTPC and the Government of Jharkhand. The entity was incorporated to acquire, establish, operate, and maintain thermal power generating stations. Its primary focus is the expansion and modernization of the Patratu Thermal Power Station.
