With the commencement of commercial operations for this unit, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group will become 84,849 MW. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited is a joint venture between NTPC and the Government of Jharkhand. The entity was incorporated to acquire, establish, operate, and maintain thermal power generating stations. Its primary focus is the expansion and modernization of the Patratu Thermal Power Station.

NTPC Ltd is a central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power. The company’s core business is the generation and sale of electricity to state-owned power distribution companies and State Electricity Boards in India.
