NTPC Green Energy Subsidiary Signs Green Ammonia Agreement

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has executed a Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement (GAPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) on March 30, 2026. The agreement involves the supply of 70,000 MTPA of Green Ammonia. This supply is designated for Krishna Phoschem Limited, located in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh.

SECI serves as the intermediary procurer for this transaction. The agreement is part of the SIGHT Scheme under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, an initiative by the Government of India. This scheme aims to promote the production and use of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia.

The execution of this agreement marks a significant development in NGEL’s portfolio concerning Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia. It aligns with the company’s commitment to support India’s decarbonization objectives.
