Intellect Design Arena Partners with Sampath Bank for Digital Transformation

Intellect Design Arena Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with Sampath Bank PLC to transform the bank’s corporate and SME banking operations in Sri Lanka. The collaboration will leverage Intellect’s eMACH.ai platform to modernize Sampath Bank’s transaction banking landscape, which includes Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Supply Chain Finance. This initiative is part of Sampath Bank’s commitment to enhancing its digital capabilities and providing future-ready financial services.

The project will be anchored by Intellect’s flagship digital platforms, including the Cash Management System (CMS) and Supply Chain Finance (SCF), designed to enhance working capital efficiency and provide secure financing solutions.

The operational scope of the project involves the implementation of Intellect’s eMACH.ai architecture, which integrates microservices, APIs, cloud, and AI into a unified platform. This composable design allows Sampath Bank to build, integrate, and scale new business capabilities rapidly. The transformation will enable the bank to offer real-time liquidity visibility, automated payment workflows, and intelligent reconciliation, thereby improving operational efficiency and customer experience.

The project was formally initiated with a kick-off ceremony in January 2026, attended by key figures from both organizations, including Mr. Sanjaya Gunawardana, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Sampath Bank PLC, and Mr. Ramanan SV, CEO – India and South Asia, Intellect Design Arena Ltd. The ceremony marked the alignment of vision, strategy, and execution teams across both entities, reinforcing their commitment to delivering a scalable and future-ready banking platform.
