The acquisition will be financed entirely from the company’s internal accruals. The addition of this vessel is part of the company’s strategy to expand its fleet. Currently, the company’s owned fleet includes 40 vessels, comprising 26 tankers and 14 dry bulk carriers, with a total capacity of 3.32 million deadweight tons.
In addition to this acquisition, Great Eastern Shipping has contracted to purchase a secondhand Ultramax Dry Bulk Carrier and sell a Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier named “Jag Aarati.” These transactions are expected to conclude in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026. The company has also agreed to sell a Suezmax Crude Tanker named “Jag Lok,” with this transaction expected to be completed in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026.
