The LNG carrier “Energy Fidelity” has a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters. It is equipped with a two-stroke propulsion system, advanced air lubrication technology, and shaft generators. These features collectively enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The agreement is part of GAIL’s efforts to strengthen India’s maritime infrastructure and energy supply chain capabilities under the ‘Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047’.
The signing was attended by Shri S Bairagi, Executive Director (Marketing – Shipping & International LNG) of GAIL, and Ms. Anna Angelicoussis, Owner of Alpha Gas. This collaboration is a significant step for GAIL in expanding its LNG shipping capabilities.
