Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd has announced the commissioning of a 185 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Kalavad, Gujarat. This project is part of CleanMax’s efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio in the state. The project, which integrates both solar and wind capacities, has been developed over approximately 12 months and supplies green energy to 17 corporate customers.
The Kalavad project is expected to add upwards of INR 165 crore annually to CleanMax’s revenue base in FY2027 once stabilized. The project operates under a group captive model, where customers invest equity in the project, securing long-term access to clean energy. This model complies with captive rules under the Electricity Act. CleanMax’s operational energy sale capacity now stands at 3.1 GW as of March 31, 2026.
The project serves over 15 corporate customers, including publicly listed companies such as Apar Industries Limited and Borosil Renewables Limited. The hybrid nature of the project enhances CleanMax’s ability to deliver consistent renewable energy supply, meeting the round-the-clock industrial demand. The total operational capacity in Gujarat has reached approximately 844 MW as of March 31, 2026.
Gujarat is a key market for CleanMax due to strong industrial demand and favorable open-access policies for hybrid power supplies. Recent regulations by the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission have improved access and clarified banking provisions for renewable power, making the state a preferred destination for large-scale hybrid projects. In FY 2024-25, CleanMax reported revenue of INR 3,426 million from Gujarat, contributing about 30% of its renewable energy power sale revenue.
The project was developed over a period of approximately 12 months, with CleanMax leveraging its experience in building and operating renewable energy assets across Gujarat. The project is backed by 25-year fixed-tariff power purchase agreements with customers, providing stability and visibility of cash flows over its lifecycle.
