Ceigall India Ltd Completes INR 918 Cr Highway Project in Punjab

Ceigall India Ltd has announced the completion of a highway project executed by its subsidiary, Ceigall Malout Abohar Sadhuwali Highway Private Limited. The project, part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana initiative, was completed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). A Completion Certificate was issued on December 5, 2025, confirming the project’s readiness for commercial operations from November 11, 2025. The project involves the four-laning of a 65-kilometer stretch from Malout to Sadhuwali in Punjab.

The project was awarded at a Bid Project Cost of INR 918 Crores. The financial structure involves 30 half-yearly installments, covering 60% of the bid project cost along with interest on a reducing balance basis. The project was completed 214 days ahead of its scheduled completion date, resulting in a bonus payment of INR 157.56 million for early completion. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) awarded the contract, and there are no related party transactions involved.

The scope of the project included the four-laning of the existing two-lane section from Malout to Sadhuwali. This involved significant infrastructure development under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, a government initiative aimed at improving road connectivity across India. The project was executed on a Hybrid Annuity Model, which combines elements of both the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer) models, allowing for shared risk between the government and the private sector.

The project forms part of Ceigall India Ltd’s operational HAM projects. The appointed date for the project was January 6, 2022, with the completion date initially set for June 6, 2023. The project was completed ahead of schedule, with the Completion Certificate issued on December 5, 2025, marking the start of commercial operations from November 11, 2025. The project was executed without any delays, and the construction period lasted 730 days from the appointed date.
