Aster DM Healthcare Shareholders Approve QCIL Merger

Aster DM Healthcare Ltd has announced that its shareholders have approved the proposed merger with Quality Care India Limited (QCIL) with a 96.68% voting approval. The meeting of shareholders and unsecured creditors was convened on March 10, 2026, as directed by the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). The merger has already received approvals from the Competition Commission of India and the stock exchanges.

The merger will result in the formation of Aster DM Quality Care Ltd, which will become one of India’s top three hospital chains. The combined entity will have over 10,625 beds across the country. The merger is expected to be completed in the next quarter, subject to the receipt of remaining regulatory and statutory approvals from the NCLT.

The merged entity will operate 39 hospitals, with a presence across 9 states and 28 cities in India. It will be supported by over 36,307 employees and clinicians, serving millions of patients annually through hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and allied healthcare services. The merger includes a share swap preceding the amalgamation, which has also received broad-based investor support.
