The order pertains to a 24×7 water management project aimed at delivering safe and continuous water supply to households in South-East Guwahati.
The project scope includes the design, supply, installation, construction, testing, and commissioning of a barge-mounted intake system, raw water rising main, water treatment plant, reservoirs, booster pumping station, and a distribution network with household service connections. Additionally, a fully integrated SCADA system will be implemented for real-time monitoring and performance management. The project also encompasses operation and maintenance services for a period of five years.
This order is classified as significant, indicating a value between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore. The project is part of L&T’s strategy to expand its business footprint in the northeast region of India, focusing on delivering sustainable and efficient water solutions.
