It also enhances mechanical flexibility, lowers cell interconnection stress, and improves resistance to micro-cracks, contributing to stronger long-term reliability and performance in challenging Indian climates.
Sudhir Reddy, Chief Strategy Officer of Premier Energies, stated that the Zero Busbar design is a complete redesign of solar cell engineering. The new architecture lowers silver usage while enhancing efficiency and durability, reinforcing the company’s leadership in next-generation solar technologies. Chandra Mauli Kumar, Chief Production Officer, highlighted the manufacturing precision and process innovation required to scale the 0BB technology.
Premier Energies is undertaking a Rs 12,500 crore capital expenditure plan over three years to more than double its solar manufacturing capacity. The plan includes backward integration into ingot-wafers and expansion into related areas such as inverters, transformers, and battery systems.
