Under the MoU, HUDCO and JNPA will jointly explore opportunities for infrastructure development, financing, and refinancing of projects related to port facilities and associated infrastructure at Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Navi Mumbai. The collaboration will include financing for five container terminals, a general cargo berth, a liquid cargo berth, and related port-led infrastructure projects.
The proposed investment under this cooperation framework is estimated at ₹5,000 crore, with the projects expected to commence during FY 2025–26. The partnership aims to identify viable opportunities for project financing that support expansion and modernization of JNPA’s existing and upcoming terminals and berths.
The MoU outlines mutual willingness between the two organizations to engage in discussions for infrastructure development initiatives. It serves as a non-binding framework for future cooperation and does not constitute any partnership, joint venture, or legal obligation. Execution of any specific project agreements will be subject to mutual consent and finalization of definitive contracts.
