Mamata Machinery Unveils Recyclable Packaging Tech at PlastIndia

Mamata Machinery Limited announced the launch of its recyclable packaging technology, RecTech™, at Plastindia 2026. The event is being held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 5 to 10, 2026. RecTech™ is a mono-material film engineered for flexible packaging applications, offering recyclability and enhanced barrier protection compared to conventional non-recyclable composite films like PET+PE and PET+MPET+PE.

The new technology addresses challenges in plastic waste management and compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility mandates. RecTech™ aims to bridge the cost gap between traditional composite materials and previously high-priced recyclable films. This innovation is designed to facilitate the adoption of sustainable packaging solutions among domestic brands by combining recyclability with cost efficiency.

The launch of RecTech™ is supported by a comprehensive recyclable-compatible packaging ecosystem developed by Mamata. This ecosystem includes 7/9-layer co-extrusion blown film plants, pouch makers, and HFFS & VFFS packaging machines, all designed and manufactured by the company. This setup enables film production, conversion, and packaging within a unified recyclable framework.
