The project has successfully onboarded 23,000 drivers and facilitated 3,60,000 trips, generating Rs. 9 Crores in revenue. The platform operates on a subscription model, ensuring fixed rates set by the government, which provides higher income for drivers. The trial runs conducted in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi since April 2025 have been satisfactory, paving the way for the platform’s official launch.

Kerala Savaari 2.0 aims to evolve into a multi-modal transport system by December 2025. This system will integrate various modes of transport, including metro, water metro, metro feeder buses, autos, and cabs. The platform’s design is compatible with ticket booking systems for metro, water metro, tourism, temple ticketing, railway, and pre-paid auto counters. The initiative is fully government-owned and implemented under the Kerala Motor Workers Welfare Board in collaboration with multiple departments, including Labour, Police, Transport, IT, and the Planning Board.

The project is part of a broader effort to enhance public transportation in Kerala, providing a model that could be replicated across India. The Kerala Motor Workers Welfare Fund Board, under the Labour Department, is responsible for implementing the project, ensuring that it aligns with the government’s objectives of worker welfare and public safety.

The timeline for the project includes the full operational status of the multi-modal transport system by December 2025.
